You definitely need some cool airbrush graphics inside the hull.

BTW, I'm one of those guys who's NEVER, EVER ONCE pulled the motor to clean the hull out. I must be sick.

I don't believe in washing my truck either.

Pull the motor just to clean the inside of the hull? Are you freakin ********ting me?

Maybe if you had it pulled for another reason, and it was the middle of winter, and you were incredibly bored....

when i built my '98 over this past winter i had it all apart to reinforce the hull. I decided to paint it while i had it empty. I used Rust-o-leum marine topside paint. brushed on, two coats. It's holding up quite well...

I do this too, but I rarely use simple green, normally dishsoap.

simple green is pretty corrosive to aluminum parts if not rinsed REALLY well.

pour some soap in, go ride, pull up to the bank, remove hood, tilt it over, fill it with water, turn on the bilge, drink a beer.

rinse and repeat.

to keep it clean just throw a few ounces of simple green into the hull before you go ride...it works!

it works even better if yoiu plug the scupper and REALLY let the stuff slosh around inside...

simple green corrosive?

I have always heard the exact OPPOSITE of that......SG is the one that is safe to use, purple power will make all the pretty billet look like crap

edit...interesting, I just did a bit of reading on it..

They do make a formula that is designed for aluminum...but I dont think it'd ever be a problem so long as it is rinsed...

I use SG for EVERYTHING and have never seen any finish damage to any of the billet/aluminum parts on my skis/bikes other stuff..

I painted the inside while I had the engine out with rust oleum mixed with minerals in white...mostly because I was getting tired of the black hole and screws and stuff that just dissapered in the rest of the dark down there...but then again I am getting old :)

alright half the answers arent what i was asking..i did clean it this is a race ski no reinforceing will be done simple question what should i used to paint it with please

just clean it real good and leave it at that.... why paint it.... if it is a race boat you want to be able to see if you have leaks or cracks, if anything is dripping and stuff like that.

secondly, no need for the attitude.... a large majority of the population here doesn't pull the motor just for the sake of cleaning the inside of the hull.....

the only time i have cleaned the inside of the hull is when a motor was out getting rebuilt and even then it was to reinforce the pump tunnel

the reason i was asking iss becasue the motor is out right now i cleaned and cleaned and its like stained id like it white what brand and type would hold up the best?

I need to buy stock in simple green. I use the heck out of it! It's the bomb! :headbang:
