Got a B pipe on the way that is in shabby condition.

I havn't seen many that are painted? I assume I can just do this with a standard engine component paint?

Any pics of people who have painted theirs? Chamber and headpipe?

If you are wanting serious horse power you need to use a ton of stickers. The more stickers you have that people can't read the better. Sticker it up so it looks like a fast and furious car... :loser:

Thanks ballers, I'm really trying to squeeze out every ounce of HP with my seized waterscrews and all

I don't even think it needs hi temp, pipe doesn't get very hot.

I'd go for high-temp personally. I dont have a B-Pipe, but my Riva Red gets hot enough to melt the cheap corrugated plastic tubing that comes with most bilge pump set-ups. That's not super hot, I know, but it's getting there.

But if you really want to squeeze the extra HP out of it, you need to get it chromed. Once its chromed out, then you can put some hydroturf on it so the powerband doesnt slip on the shiney new pipe. Stickers always should come after the turf accents.

Exhaust manifold and chamber are painted.
Product name is "siatane", don't know if it exists in the States.
Doesn't peel off, no primercoating, high teperature resistant paint.

Looks clean jura.

I'll paint hi temp, I don't care what I paint it with.

Just saying its not seeing near the temps that a I4,V6,V8 etc engine would (which is what a lot of the hi temp paint is formulated for) Good up to 600 degrees etc, I've seen on a bunch of them.

Idok - Lower end paint is tough as hell. Mercury sells their brand in a can worth $17, dries like armor!

We sent one out and had it ceramic coated like they do on automobile headers. Two years later when we sold the ski it still looked like the day we got it back. We had it done in what looked like a dull chrome. It would not take on the water spots the way the factory coating does and clean up was easy...wd40 and a shop towel. Cost was $60 to dip in acid and then coat.
