I want to set a 'rule' for replying to this thread (I'll explain why).
- Please keep the post about the picture. Links or upload the attachment.
- Please keep text brief if you feel it's necessary to mention an important hull mod, or explain a style, mention where you used gel coat vs paint, hull model, that kind of stuff, but brief, no stories.
- One post per ski, unless it has been repainted (etc) since it's 1st post. This isn't about before and after rebuilds however, it's about good designs.
Why???
Here's what I'm hoping to do. I'm hoping to get a thread that is ONLY based on pictures of skis. Each post about a single ski based on visual appearance (maybe including an upskirt of the ski if you have a fancy motor if you wish). The written part of the post kept minimal so the entire substance of this thread is the picture. Only one post per ski.
Again, Why?
Ideas, I figure the few hundred members x multiple skis each = a lot of different styles of skis. Some paint jobs will be simple, other more complexed. The reson for these "rules" is so that anyone looking at these pictures to get ideas doesn't have to seach through a bunch of chatting to find pictures. Just the picture and vital information.
Here's my reasoning...
My ski may be getting a new painty in the nearish future. I don't have time to go to the cool events to see all of the custom skis. At best I see a stock Ski + decals at the lake every so often. I have an idea of what I want, and many people who plan on painting a ski do, but I haven't seen many skis so I would like to see all of the cool designs, w/o digging the "my ski section".
Again...
Just the picture, minimal explination, no replies to ask a question about a ski or to compliment it. Every post should have a picture of a different ski.
I'm going to bookmark this thread and hope it works out. Hopefully it will and if it works out it can be stickied somewhere for others to take advantage of it.
Thanks,
Vu~
