I just had the painful experience of watching "A Twangled View Of Havasu 3".
I've met most if not all of the team Twangled guys, and you all seem like nice guys. Very friendly and truly love the sport.
However if you guys really care about the future of jet skiing you will stop making videos. All of them are horrible, painful to watch, and an embarassment for the rest of us.
This is what, like your 5th or so video? You would think you guys would be improving your editing skills. But no, just as bad as your first awful video. I doubt your editing program has a spell check, but maybe have someone who can spell proof the text. For example in the Havasu section, you typed "Closed Coarse" insted of "closed Course". You might not think its a big deal, but it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I dont think you guys will stop making your Twangled videos because you love yourselves too much, and for some reason think of yourselves as pro level riders. Truth is you wouldnt even podium in amature freestyle. Everyone knows this accept for you guys it seems.
Anyway back to the videos. If you guys must continue to make these pathetic attempts of cinema, do yourselves and the rest of us a favor and leave yourselves out of it. Nothing you guys do in the vids is impressive, funny, or entertaining in the least. The only thing Ally and I laughed at was how bad it was, and gave each other poop for being in it! lol

While this letter might seem to be just a trash Burtka and Brock thing, its not at all. I have nothing againts you guys.
This letter is a plea to stop making videos, or have someone else make them for you. The footage is seriously lacking good shots, the editing is atrocious, and the music just sucks.
Please stop embarassing the sport, and yes... yourselves.

I had a similar review on the riot website. Horrible at best. My wife even laughed at how bad it was. If I spent 20 bucks on it, I woulda punched someone in the face.

Ronny thanks for saying what needed to be said a LONG time ago. While I admire thier enthusiasm, the videos are NOT what we need to be promoting, they are merely edited personal videos that have no place being the public/commercial image of our sport.

It sounds harsh but it's been building up for a long time.

We need more videos to the level of Fast Times Films, Nasency Project, and Masher500 (He REALLY needs to make a complete DVD).

If I bought one of thier videos (which I never would), I'd demand my money back immediately.

Again, I don't dislike the Burtka or Brock, and I won't comment on thier skills as freestylers (I suck doing FS and can't bag anyone), but thier videos are SELF PROMOTIONAL at best, and not Consumer grade entertainment, even for a select auience. We know they have passion and love for the sport, but let's just say that using commercial video isn't teh best way for them to express it. They should refund everyones money, and make the videos available through internet download. OR hire a real cameraman, editor, and producer, and get-after-it only then.

They had a couple of good monkey jumps and BR in that video. As far as editing is concerned if you have seen one Twangled you have seen them all, you are never like Ohhh Sweet!! on any footage.

Waste, are you speaking of linoleum (cheap ass flooring product)?

Doug, yes there are errors but as Ally said... "not for retail sale" or even used in publication.

Jett, I could not make it through 30 seconds (jumped into the middle, not from beginning).

At least I saw 1 flat water barrel roll fully compleated.

Guys, I admire your enthusiam but to charge any more than $10 bucks for a DVD is a rip. For $25 I expect JK, Taylor Curtis, Eric Malone, or Visser level riding... for $15 to $20 the guys I actually get to see ride (Nick/Yamaslut, Pancake Pete, Paul (Jr. from Magoos), Parr, etc.), $15 for the NW Freeride DVD is bang on... Twangled... $10 shipped.

Actually, you rarely see true Linoleum any more, you are thinking of regular sheet vinyl, True Linoleum is very high end.

Genuine linoleum, not to be confused with vinyl, is a classic, invented nearly 150 years ago and still completely relevant today. Environmentally preferred linoleum is made from natural, raw materials. Linseed oil, which comes from the flax plant, is the primary ingredient. (In Latin, linum is the word for linseed and oleum means oil.) Other ingredients include wood or cork powder, resins and ground limestone. Mineral pigments provide the rich colors. The ingredients are mixed together, then rolled out between two cylinders (a process called "calendaring") onto a jute backing. The linoleum is then cured in ovens for 14 to 21 days. The resulting floor is then rolled on cores, ready for installation. Sheet linoleum is available in many thicknesses. 2.0 mm is suitable for residential use. It is sold in a two-meter (or 6' 7") width size.

Keep In Mind:

Unlike most vinyl, which is manufactured with a protective top coat, genuine linoleum does not have a protective layer over the design. Linoleum floors must be polished to get that protective layer, which helps prevent staining. If a stain does occur, strip and reapply polish over that spot.
Linoleum releases a harmless odor (from the linseed oil) when it is first installed, much like that of a freshly painted room. This odor will dissipate.
New linoleum sometimes has a yellow cast on the surface, called a "drying room film" that is a natural effect created by the floor's composition. This film will dissipate when the floor is exposed to natural or artificial light. Make sure you expose linoleum samples to light for a several hours before making your final design and color choice.
Most linoleum is sold as a sheet product. Linoleum tile is available, but it is more prone to warping and curled edges.
