ok im hoping my coupler parts come in tomorrow,

My coupler damper had some grey lube of some kind or another, anyone know what it is, and where i can get it, also how much of it do i need. Is there any other preventative maintenance I should do with my ski while its still dismantled? Im hoping that when it comes back together that ill actually be able to ride it for more than one weekend without it breaking.

The rope trick was the charm, thanks for all the great help everyone, any other things to consider when putting it back together, I downloaded the faq on how to shim the motor when putting it back in. Hoping all goes well there.
