This guy over at PWCT is claiming that his "blue" powder coated bracket is not a OEM.
He says its aftermarket and that its better that the crappy OEM cast bracket. He also tried to say it was from the Hot Products catalog and posted a pic which looks nothing like the OEM bracket.

Also he wont show a pic of the bottom of the bracket and he says "pfft" if anyone want to see a pic of the bottom of his bracket...

He PM'ed me when I asked what brand it was.. He said "Not sure of the brand bought it based on an item number in the Hot Products catalog at that time... They have a similar one (not powdercoated) listed in the current Hot Products catalog I'll take $100 plus shipping"

The one in the Hot products one is billet to begin with...lol

That's a Goki replacement bracket. I bought one of those @ 5 years ago, same as stock as far as I could tell. Took 2 years of salt before the coating fell off.

I dont claim to be a guro, but have had Yam standups for close to 20 years.

Those were built by cold fusion in 95
Hot products bought the last 100 from me a few years back
they are indestructible 15 years on mine

Do they look exactly like OEM?
I did a search and found a few old adds for a Goki heavy duty Round nose bracket. GroupK had one for sale at one time. But
i havent found any pics.

the cold fusion are exactly the same profile as oem but 10 time stronger
however in studying the pic that is Not a Cold Fusion bracket

Hot products still sell ours for not much more than he is asking PM me if you need details

Ya, I can tell thats different like you say..

Heres a pic of his bracket and a pick of my FX-1 bracket for comparison. I just painted the ski yesterday, so the bracket is clearly visible. Looks identical to me.

hey Troy, look to the left of the pole spring the step in the material where it goes from vertical to horizontal is a bit different it looks like.

I would say the cold fusion one or goki. My bet is goki. I may have a catalog that still has it, will try to dig it up.

I was looking at that too. I noticed a couple of different details. I put them together in a side-by-side comparison...actually it's above and below but you know what I mean lol. When you look at area 1, you can see that the blue one has square cut angles whereas the stock FX1 plate has rounded, and area 2 not only is angled downward but the OEM bracket seems to be curved upward, but the OEM bracket is also missing that extra pin. I also noticed the OEM bracket in area 2 is much thinner, a bit wider but also is raised with sloped shoulders. The unknown bracket is just brutally thick and square edged in comparison. I'm interested to see the outcome of this and hear exactly what it is :scratchchin:

Get a picture from the bottom and that should tell you if it's OEM part.

Yes, it's an aftermarket one, I've installed one before.
I'm thinking Goki or Jetlyne, I don't think it was a Jetsport part.
It was too long ago like '95-'96 to remember brand.
