Yep,it's true.Another 144mm pump conversion with a twist!

Tom21 has made to great items for yamaha's little bastard child! An enlarged tray and he took a mold from the complete pump tunnel to in front of the scoop plate bolts from an rn sj to mate up with the fx.This conversion is not for the faint of heart.Cause from the pics you will do some serious surgery.Anyone that has seen my fx knows it was a cherry,so it took a lot make the first cuts.

The rest of the hard parts are coming from Jetmaniac, the man! l'm not in a big hurry to get done, but once l get back from wavedayz l will be into it again.

The problem l have always had is that when you put a 144mm pump in your fx you still are feeding it with a 122mm inlet. This conversion takes care of that problem.

Great that Tom is giving all these FX's a second chance at life. Wish I would have seen that stuff about a year ago it would have made my life a little easier.

You going to throw some Tubbies on there too

I had heard rumors of this happening. I dig the wider tray too... Sanoman, can you share the pricing on both of these items?

My FX has a SN SJ intake and pump mount grafted in (courtesy of Superwet(jet)Brett. Hope to get it on the water very soon.

So far as pricing you need to get a hold of tom21.He is a great guy to do business with and offers a quality product at a great price.

No tubbies for now.Hornedogg has a set on his and we will be switching back and forth with skis,so l'll be able to make a decision after riding with them. This ski will be mainly used for flatwater, since l have the ROK for the surf.SO it may not get them.

One of the things l encountered was how to make a jig for keeping alignment. After lots of discussions and different ideas we came up with this simple but effective jig.A 1/4" think piece of aluminum with a shaft holder for impeller removal.

I rent! HAHAHA!!! And thank god the wife digs it. Her latest request was a new tv for her (our) bedroom. I cheated like a mofo and she loves it. I mounted a flatscreen to the foot of our bed lol!! Works like a PEACH! Due to furniture, it was on the bed, or from the ceiling and that was too much work. Kind of hilarious, but it really turned out tidy.

Finally got your 144mm pump build shipped yesterday! It looks great.

New front pump seal, clean beadblasted pump/wear ring, blasted and bored reduction nozzle, and quick turn steering nozzle. New pump rebuild kit to finish it off.
