Hey guys - havent been here in a while, have had lots going on. Hate to come back to the site in this manner but I'm having trouble with my son's (Experimental's) machine. 01 SJ with MSD Enhancer.
We haven't started the boats in a while (about a month) so today I decided to take them out to the local lake on the trailer (no riding allowed) and run the stabil in the gas to get it into the system and ready for winterizing. Mine started fine but the 2001 SJ wouldn't start. It coughed once but no go. Just on a whim I unscrewed open the ebox cover where the fuse is, and (holy sh#t!) water came out. Not a whole lot but enough I knew I had a problem. Anyway I found that the fuse had blown so I headed home without soing any more trying. At home I opened up the ebox and dried it out, looked like it had had about an inch in the box that sat in there for a whlie. I also found the fuse had blown so I stole the extra one that was in my 02. It did cough once but just for a split second, and I still can't get it to start. I put it away for the night now to let it dry some more, I figured it may still be wet somewhere in the box.
What's likely the problem hee? I hope the MSD isn't blown. I have my old OEM so I may swap that back in to see if that's the case.
Thanks for any ideas. I am glad its the off-season at least.
Jake (Experimental) if you're reading this I'm doing my best to figure it out.
