use 1/2 roll of duck tape overlaping 3/4 per wrap and 3" ABOVE AND BELOW THE CRACK and it will be as ridged as a rock.

well.. i cut out all the damage and reglassed the entire area front and back with bondo hair. then i sanded it down a little and cut out some sheet metal for added support. not pretty but it seems hella strong. a used pole goes for like 120-150. not worth it if im just gonna break it again. so savin for a real pole
heres the pic, copped the idea from the "beef it" kits. total cost 20 bucks.
the local glass guy around here wanted 150 to fix it with no added support.

Next time just use a couple of layers of 8oz glass instead of the kitty hair. Glass cloth is stronger and lighter - I don't really like using filler for structural repairs.

Krackasaki.. typical...
Bondo hair or "kitty hair" is not structurally strong enough to hold that, not to mention its not SMC compatible, so it wont stick very well. But hopefully the metal you put on there will help keep it all together.
.
You need some SMC compatible resin or epoxy resin to do the job right, but as mentioned above just get a RN pole on there. They are the only OEM poles that hold up compared to any other KAWI pole or the SN hunk of SMC junk.
The SMC compatible resin costs about the same as epoxy.. So I just use epoxy now, dont even mess with the SMC resin on anything SMC that I fix.

Hey at least you didnt get hurt. Ive broken a couple Kawi 750 poles back in the day on my Team Butch 750SX race ski and one time it broke off in a full WFO buoy turn and my hand rammed into the hood and jammed the F out of it, nearly broke it. i had a helmet on and my head slammed into the side of the hood pretty hard too.

Good luck!

yeah thankz dudes, im not real familair with epoxy resin and fibercloth, so i went this route thinkin that it needed filler, it was mad low after i ground out all the junk...im just hopin it holds till i get a alum pole, i will take the advice tho, and glass the other one i have and keep it ready in case this one breaks. the kitty hair seems strong, i guess ill see after nosestab practice 2
cheers
