for people in the Bay Area Humboldt is a solid 2.5-3 hours longer drive than pismo, although it could be a cool trip

me and my buddy ride in humbolt bay theres waves that break in the bay right through the jetti. or you can ride right on the beach. plus its an ohv park so you can drive your truck right to the beach and launch. ohv park is in samoa right over the bay from eureka might be to far north for you.

thats where i learned to ride..fun spot but it is sketchy when its big..

guy just got killed down here last week at a spot right around the corner from where i kite....i used to see that guy surfing all the time..

it was a year almost to the day another kid got killed in the same place...16+footer..prob the same shark..the bite marks in their boards look identical..

Wydopen - You werent lying when you said it was big, and thanks for tell us about the wave that breaks at the beach directly across from the launch, thats a killer spot to ride
