NO spark on 99 superjet

I've got no spark on my 99 superjet. I quit last summer and has been sitting all winter, its warmed up and now time to ride! I know its not the switch, at least pretty sure, unplugged the black cable and still nothing. What is next to check? Do I open the EBox and what do I look at first?

Thanks

If you have the ebox open and a multi meter you can check out the typical elec gremlins for cdi/stator. Even if the stator tests out good it may still be bad. When I had no spark it was due to a faulty CDI. Swapping the stator is a pain the ass pretty much every time, as is pulling the ebox, but it's quite doable on a dock with some patience.

Yank the start stop switch first I guess, make sure that your coil wires haven't pulled back by yanking the boots and make sure that you can still see wire coming off them. Trim them back and reinsert if that isn't the case. Also, if you freshly trim them, yank the spark plugs and attach the bare leads to the caps that you can unscrew and ground the plug while running the start switch. If you see spark then you can just reinstall the caps.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I've got the motor out now and waiting for a new one from Jetmaniac. I have tested the stator and it appears to be good. When I pulled the motor out and removed the flywheel I found that the stator was not tight though and I could spin pretty easily. Would that cause no spark because it was not grounded properly? I could see the spark being 'off' because of the timing not being correct but would it prevent it from sparking at all?

spin or move easily? I mean assuming the screws are in there it should only be able to move say a half inch clockwise or counter clockwise. Were there no screws holding the stator in?

If the stator is good and you've reinstalled it, cranked down those screws and restarted and you still have no spark i'd replace the CDI with a known working one and also make sure you have enough copper coming out of your coil leads to the boots by pulling them off. Sometimes the leads pull back. I think there's a test you can do with the coil to make sure voltage is going thru it while you're cranking the motor on the link I wrote before. I have had similiar issues and needed to replace the CDI. You may want to find a clean ebox on here you can buy and just start swapping parts. Try disconnecting the stop start switch also, those can go bad, that's the black and white wire going into the ebox.

Thanks. Still waiting on the new motor so can't test anything yet. I did disconnect the stop switch and it still had no spark before I pulled the motor.

when you get the motor back try swapping the cdi - make sure you can ground out the coil wires and get voltage during cranking the motor. get a cheap multimeter.
