SX/SXi/SXi Pro No Pisser Flow...

Ok so I finally got my first stand-up out on the water today... and as I was testing it in the water... I noticed I had no flow from my pissers...
Ski:
1998 Kawasaki 750 SXI-Pro Stock no mods...

I disconnected the hose from the pissers at the Ebox... which this seems wierd to me why does the water run through the ebox??? anyways I was able to blow through it and air came out of the port (left) pisser but nothing from the starboard (right) pisser... I also disconnected the hose coming from the exhaust to the ebox... i blew through this and could hear air in the exhaust and bubbles from the pump area so I assumed that is the coolant in line and water jackets etc...

I ran the engine and water pissed out of the line coming from the exhaust no problem i tied it to the pissers and the left pisser works ok...

So what the heck is in the ebox that the cooling water runs through and how do i fix it so it allows the water to flow or do i even need it?

thats what i thought but it's plumbed that way... i am looking at the microfiche now to figure out why or what is going on with that...

..edit:

I looked at the microfiche online... and it is just as i thought... it flows into the ebox past a water temperature switch. not sure what the switch does or how good it works b/c flow is clogged and it don't do shiot i can still start it and run it just fine...

i don't see how that is a good place to tell if the ski is overheating anyways...

if the water flow gets clogged and the engine is over heating that sensor won't know it if no water is flowing past the sensor... unless there is a enough water in the system to set it off...

i will try and clean the housing today and otherwise i think i will just bypass it and keep an eye on the pisser to make sure i have enough water flow...

it senses the cooling water temp and if its over a certain temp it goes in limp mode but u got the idea just bypass it and keep an eye on things if u see steam and not water out ur pisseer then stop. haha should be fine tho i dont run it nor does any of my buddies who ride 750's.

The believe the right side is NOT a pisser. It is for overflowing gas.
If the left pisser was pissing, you should be fine. If it is not, you probably have a blown head gasket.

I think you can bypass that temp sensor... f that thing. You bypass it when you put a pipe on anyway.

im interested in this too, do you just bypass it and thats it? Do I need to disconnect anything in the e box?

jus bypass it if there is no water in the sensor to trigger it then it wont give ya any problems mine is still there with no hoses attached my buddy removed his completely and there is just a hole now where it was either way jus bypass it and you will be fine

For the record... When I ran stock electrics and a factory pipe, I still ran water to the ebox sensor without any problems at all. It was plumbed with a T fitting from the pisser line.

Sure you can bypass that sensor but why?? The whole purpose of that thing is to prevent you from ruining your engine. If you keep tripping that temp sensor, you need to figure out why. That's kind of like saying, I disconnected the temperature gauge on my cars dash because it kept going in the red on a hot day.
