I ordered something from Mwave not too long ago and I had no problems with them.

I agree, I've been using TigerDirect for years now and have had only good experiences. I usually surf LogicBuy and Slickdeals for the right prices though. That and Google Shopping for a decent price grabber.

I have just always stuck with egg because of the format of the site...detailed GPU numbers....ms times on displays....the reviews from other builders...it has always been like they were looking out for us builders...forcing OE's to put important numbers up.....but lately they are slacking and prices are high and they are out of stock....

Tiger never had all the info I wanted to see...I'll give them another look too.

Yeah I hear ya, it's kind of obnoxious not seeing the real crucial information that you're looking for. I just kind of got used to looking for products review wise so I knew what I was getting before I went price shopping, then went to TD or Google Shopping to find the best price. A lot of times TD was the best deal because while Newegg might have had it cheaper, they're in-state so they charge me sales tax.

I've used pricewatch.com for years. It's a tech store search engine. I think I first discovered newegg by searching on pricewatch. It's also a great place to find odd ball outdated parts like old laptop batteries and disc drives.

I used to use them too but they almost always took me to the egg.....and then once I got used to egg I never looked back. But lately it seems they are not the hardware geeks they used to be.....selling friggin everything under the sun!

I became a loyal newegger because of all the reviews and detailed specs. Not to mention the prices. I occasionally buy elsewhere (mwave, tiger, buy, etc).

I think they are trying to be the next amazon.

Yep, that's a good search, I just wish they would improve the ratings system a bit better. I've ordered stuff from the low ball prices in their lists before and they turn out to be bad sellers.

i use Newegg to spec out the parts get the numbers and see if they're cheaper elsewhere...they normally are but neweggg has a more user friendly interface and more traffic so you end up with more accurate reviews
