Nope, I just really love him and like him a lot, too. Trust me, at this stage in a relationship, that's a good thing! Married 27 years, now, be 28 in June, together almost 2 years before that.

I hear ya duck...the hubby and I have been together over 12 years...almost half of my life..and I wouldn't trade it for anything :Banane09::smlove2:

we are not gushy and never have been ....a lot of people can't understand the way we talk to each other....but it works for us :jester:

I have never really dated anyone else and that is fine by me!!!

nice to see another good old fashioned couple.....that is still together! :bananapowerslide:

How about - "You are your twin."? That's just wrong! Funny, but wrong. I wonder how the poor things walk?

they never stop pooping and it's not like a little piggy pellet... My ex had ducks... horrible pets, cute but messy

Slutty's got it right, they are MESSY! I used to have clients that kept their ducks, geese and chickens indoors at night, as in, inside their house. They would herd them out every morning, back in every night. They took VERY GOOD care of their animals, but man, I would hate to see (and SMELL) their animal room.

Duck poo stinks like you would not believe. The only thing worse is duck diarrhea and pig poo. We're talkin' nearly gag the vet stink and I don't gag from anything at work.

Yeah--we should be coming by this weekend at the latest to get it. If for some reason we can't get down there--I'll have Cara come get it. :afro:

pig poo??? like a oink oink pig, right??
Cavy's are remarkably non smelly IMO

I can top Duck poo... Pelican Poo is the nastiest of all poops... My buddy got ******** on by one and he started puking imediately... I almost puked from the rancid fish death smell on him. Not to mention it's about a half a cup and very liquidly....

OMG, I just almost had a dry heave thinking about it..

Sharon, I have a serious question about Pelicans... Is there any reason a Pelican would want to drink gas???? I know this sounds horribly ridiculous, but I swear to god that we saw a Pelican drink ********ing premixed fuel... My bud was filling up his tanks and it got an air bubble and shot fuel into the water... the freaking Pelican jumped over there and started lapping it up like it was a delicacy... No one believes that story, but it's true....

Pelicans are a trip man, total trip!!! Funny creatures

one more... why do little furry creatures like cavy's smell so good??? They even smell cute...
I think it's the hay and something mixed

Yeah, I meant oink oink pig, not cavy pig.

And you're right about pelican poo. I had forgotten what a twang digested fish adds to the mix.

You know what a bad smell is that will make you puke, we were in San Francisco at a beach by the bay when my youngest son was trying to break open a coconut he found. I helped him with the task, we set it on a rock I took another rock and smashed it and it F-ING Exploded like a bomb but only in my sons direction and he was covered with warm coconut milk cheesy goop…….. It stunk so damn bad we had to leave the beach so he could go take a shower and I had to wash his clothes.

I suspect the oil slick look may have triggered that response. Usually oil on the water means fish oils and bits, so it may have thought it was going to find fish bits in that water.

They're also a little difficult to handle when you try to nurse a wild pelican back to health. They try to peck your eyes out!

The hay is part of it, but some animals just smell good. Vegetarian species are often likely to smell good. Lots of parrots smell really good, especially c*ckatoos and amazons. Most co ckatos have a somewhat sweet smell, but Moluccan's are my favorite. They smell like maple syrup. Most Amazons have a somewhat spicy sweet smell.

Parrots so consistently smell good that if they smell wrong, I look for problems, usually with the GI tract, but sometimes it's a metabolic problem. If they keep smelling "off" even when blood work and stool checks are normal, I keep looking until I find out what's wrong, cuz they don't stink for no reason.

There is a group of birds called Pionus parrots (related to Amazons) that are reported to smell either very nice or like dirty sweat socks. In my experience, the "sweat socks" birds have something going on, because often after resolving health problems they smell good. I've had owners tell me their bird never smelled good, always like socks. Then we treated and the bird smelled nice for the first time in it's life.

If you know anybody with a Pionus that smells like socks, tell them this and make them take their bird to a GOOD bird vet - not someone that sees only 1-2 birds a month, somebody that sees a LOT of birds.

How did I get started on a lecture about bird health, anyway?
