SXR Newbie Questions: Best adhesive for inside of the ski

I am a newbie to standh up having purchased a 2004 SXR over the winter. I noticed that a number of my electirc lines aer no longer attached to the side of the hull and are hanging loose inside the ski. What adhesive is best to reattached the line anchors on the inside wall of the ski.

Also, the silicone coupler on my Factory Wet pipe has a major rip. I order a new coupler. Is this a difficult fix for someone new to working on a ski. Any tricks to replacing the coupler?

Finally, are there any good shops for aftermarket parts and advice in the northern NJ / Orange COunty NY area? I am about 20 minutes from Greenwood lake in southern NY.
Any advice is appreicated./

Thanks

Eric, you can use 3m 4200 marine adhesive, sold in west marine, to stick the clips for the lines back to the hull, or use some automotive trim tape, sold at pepboys, just clean the hull well before you adhear them. The coupler should be straight foward just undo the clamps on either end and then the one at the end of the chamber before it goes into the water box, at the nose of the hull, pull the chamber out and replace. As far as afermarket, it sounds like you have all you need for the motor, as a newb get use to riding develope a style and them start going more aftermarket. Greenwood lake should be fun to ride just remember that that it has Coast guard on it as it is an interstate lake. Also, one more tip after rides, hose off the motor and spray everthing down with WD-40, even the pump. on emore thing do a search you can download a repair manual for the SXR on line, it will help you out a lot with learing all the systems.

Thanks for all the good advice. Do youy spray with WD-40 after every ride or only when you are putting it away for a few days, weeks or months? Does the WD 40 have any negative effect on the electronics or plastic/rubber components? Thanks again. Eric

Make sure your hood is off when you store it and you don't need to spray it with anything unless its like a month. Rinse out the motor compartment every once in a while with some dish soap.
