I never rode a rickter and am not a fan of SJs in general. But I liked it enough to plop down 15k on the spot for his demo ski.

different beast...doesnt handle like either one...
felt like a solid ski in the surf, very easy to ride..stable and flickable.....nice boat!

it also turns into a nifty nose down bobber when it gets dragged away from you in heavy surf and is left to float upside down for a few minutes.

yeah.. that second time almost ended very badly. when I saw the nose go down and just the pump sticking out of the waves and I was still several yards away, I thought I lost her for good.

yeah buddy.... It was one of those big honkers that got me. the wash hit the rail and ripped it right out from under me and took it a good 30 yards away. then the second wave flipped her over on her deck. she floated a good while that way while getting hammered by the surf before she finally started to go nose down. I was struggleing to swim to her rescue but I have never been able to swim for with a life jacket on.
he's gonna fix a few little issues we have with her.
