Super Jet New Top end from Jet-maniac

Hey guys

Im in the process of ordering a new top end from Jetmaniac , He has advised me rather to go with the 735 83mm , rather than the 760.

I am from South Africa and do a bit of freestyle but also love to rip around the buoys with my friends.

The main question im asking is that It would be too expensive to ship a complete motor as the transport costs are crazy, the top end kit is a ported kit but I would like to know exactly how I should port and epoxy the cases, I have used the search feature but cant seem to find a clear answer on what to do for porting on the cases.

Im not looking for anything crazy but I feel while I have the ported top end I should try clean up the cases as-well, my main question is where do I epoxy and where do we port, there are alot of decent shops here that do porting just they have no experience on the superjet motor.

Please no stupid replys saying use the search, I have tried and could not find a clear answer.

Thanks

mate have a look in the tech faq page 3 there is porting in there that mite help you or buy a set off ported cases off jet maniac thats what i did

The problem is the shipping costs for sending cases... Those in the FAQ's are for 61X cases, Im mainly looking for 62x cases. Did the cases make a huge difference Ian69? Which topend kit did you use?

i got 61x cases and a jet-maniac top end i havent run it yet . i think porting the 62x cases make a differance im shore someone on here will have some pics and more info.did you read the cyclinder porting bit i think there was somthink in there about case porting

Okay , I'm asking specifically about how to on the 62x cases , I know that I can purchase them but like I said above that isn't a option , I have perfect new cases which I would like a bit of information/how to for the porting and epoxy process .

can anybody help me?

I know you said money is an issue, but it would be worth the extra cash to buy a set of cases ported by a reputable engine builder. For performance and reliability you need the work to be done correctly. Yes you could look at pictures and try and copy, but you need to know what you are doing and why to bring about the best performance characteristics for your riding style.

You are already getting and having sent a new top end from him, ordering cases and having them sent over at the same time in the same box can't be that much more.

Actually, Chris is a wizard at using USPS flat rate boxes. I don't see cases fitting in one of those and the price of shipping will be somewhat more. I'd get the cases from him nevertheless if I was GaSs.
