New Rider which ski?

What Junk? So by junk you mean a ski that will crack out and have water logged foam? I think your confusing the sxi pro with a superjet! The pro would make a great first ski till you figure out exactly what you want. Different riders different skis. I prefer my sxi to any ski.

I started with a Kawi 750sx before moving on to the superjet
I would advise skipping the first step

nothing wrong with a kawasaki. a sn sj needs some work to do 15 mph and leave the water under it's own power. this website is about hugging on sj's nuts. my first ski was a 750sx and it was a very fun ski.

almost any standup is a good ski
but you just need to find one that hasnt been all hacked up
dont worry about the guys that are yamaha/kawasaki
just get you a ski and you will meet others with standups and ask if you can ride their ski
kawies are good skis
yamahas are good skis
im a sj guy but i also have 3 kawies
almost every ski will have a different personality you will just have to find one to match your personality

Good deals will always be had, make sure you get one that will start right up and sounds strong. Always test the compression and be knowledgeable before going to look at a ski.

If you see something you like near you and you're not sure, post some pictures and/or details about the ski. People will gladly help and tell you what its worth (everyone's pretty honest and love to help people out here).

I started on a 750SXI Pro, rode it for 1 month & bought a Superjet. The Kawi had lots of performance parts but no performance... Hard to beat a RN SJ with a Pipe....

Good luck with your search
