New member/looking at a SXR 800 converted to 1100. Have some questions

I'm looking at SXR 800 with an 1100 motor, it's for sale, I'm just looking for a fun ski to jump waves and free style, nothing serious. My choices are limited. Would this be a suitable ski for tricks or are SX-R converted to 1100 just for racing. He said the ski is very fast. Any input would be appreciated, as well as a suitable price range. If I start jumping waves and such on an 800 with 1100 in it, am I going to hurt the hull? I have been on stock jet skis growing up from time to time, but I really know nothing when it comes to mod's and aftermarket set ups. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance to anyone who answers

That setup will weigh north of 400lbs. You won't be using it for wave jumping. Expect an 1100 in a stock hull to chew through coupler dampers, midshaft bearings, pump bearings and any part known to fail on the 1100 like the exhaust manifold and head pipe.

Like @vomitspot suggested, find yourself a SuperJet. You'll be much better off. It's lighter weight, better for jumping and has better resale if it's in good condition.

If you were racing and prepared for the upkeep/maintenance of a race ski, sure, an 1100 SXR is fun. But for your purposes, it won't be what you want.

I have an 1100 SX-R and it is a great racer with a VERY low center of gravity but it doesn't want to get out of the water for jumping.
