Whats up with the new spouts on the red gas cans from wal mart?

Retarded attempt at control.

Anybody had any creative ideas for Ixnaying the new spouts?

All those spill proof ones suck. They are so flimsy, and pour so slow. I bought some LC cans this summer, and couldn't be happier with them.

If you are talking about those one with the little tab you have to 'unlock' to use, look under the handle and you can get in there and removed that interlock thing. Then you have a spring loaded pour valve. I like mine, they do pour a bit slow, but not bad at all.

I had to buy 2 of the "safe pour" cans when a gas station at the beach would not fill my black Jazz race cans. I've since bought red Jazz cans haven't had a problem. I still use the "sp" cans around the house and they spill more than a Jazz.

VPs suck in my experience. they leak, gasket pops out,
their valve siezes when exposed to gasoline, cap and vent vap cracked immediately

Exactly! I know I've posted this on here before and for a forum that relies on modifications, it amazes me at the lack of initiation that people show when it comes to something that doesn't work exactly how they want it to. Took me about 15 seconds trying to figure out how to pour gas and another 15 seconds to figure out that concept sucked and how I can "fix" the problem. A pair of wire cutters works wonders on that stupid "store/pour" switch underneath the handle. Now I have a gas can that I can turn upside down and it won't spill a drop until I press the trigger. I liked those thing so much that I went out and bought a nozzle just like it to go on my gas can that had the old straight style nozzle.
