If u run the spacer vs the cut and weld aproch i beleave u will haveto modify the stinger on the chamber to get the same results.Correct me if im wrong..This is what i was told.I know in the 2 stroke days of motocross we use to space out the expansion chamber from the head and it resulted in more low end power. But i dont know if this applys in the same theorey since its a wet pipe.Maybe others can chime in on this...as im at this stage as well.I can make the spacer but not sure if i should go that route or keep the pipe as is and cut and weld the water jacket? The B pipe wasnt designed for a 860cc plus monster...so i have know idea which way would be best unless someone could put theory behind this or a number chart.

WTF are you talking about, man?!

the lamey's exhaust mounts dont stick out as far as OEM cylinders do, therefore there is a spacer plate, or cutting the headpipe.

youre trying to figure out the meaning of life and the universe thus forth thout within, and its just a matter of clearance.

ill bet you cant wait till the next star trek convention.

If you run the spacer you are increasing the length of the exhaust which would put the exhaust pulse back there at a slower rate and that would make it more of a low end pipe

from my understanding in the lectures i get from my motor builder any change of length or diameter of anything on a pipe on a 2 stroke whether it be the stinger length, header length, or length from the cylinder to the stinger will change the tuning of the pipe minorly or drastically. so the spacer probably would change the tuning. idk if its the same but on snowmobiles a longer header pipe means more rpm. im no expert but im pretty positive on that.

anyone got some pics of the cut and weld.Im about to have to do that..

Pic 1 is before powder coating.
Pic 2, 3 and 4 are after powder coating.
