New chin pad design

This is probably going to sound totally dumb...comes with the territory of being an idiot anyway lol, so here goes....what about using Lexan plastic with a covering of turf, or medium memory foam and turf on top? I used to work with Lexan plastic a long time ago and it's probably the most flexible plastic out there. You can heat it with a heat gun, form it and beat the crap out of it and it still returns to it's formed position...as long as it's not forced so hard that it kinks. At least that way you can have something to form with and around the handlebar, it's forgiving enough that you can bounce your yap off of it without losing your chicklets, and takes a lot to break. I've been considering trying it for some time now just never had the ambition since I wasn't really worried about the pad on my ski.
