With all due respect,

I prolly have a little bit more in my ski then you do your hull alone and it has more power then you would prolly even need at a year of riding. I'm on a unported cylinder by the way. Esp for surf riding where power or hulls isnt the key. Joe Kenny goes as high as he does on a stock hull w/ 760. Mike Serlin did a double BR on a stock hull and 61x cylinder i believe.

I just seems to be people spend so much money on hulls and insane motors when in reality they cant use it. Focus on the riding part wether then the cool parts. Just my 2 cents. I'll stay on my hull until it breaks or my BRs are maxxed out(which may never happen)

PS. I'm not bashing you, trying to offend you, or anything near that. I think you ski is gonna be kick ass and I'll even be bumming a demo ride in daytona as I'm slipping you shots:sneaky:

When you grow up you will understand grasshopper

I've got mixed feelings about this. I'm always glad to see and ride nice ski's. but riding is where it's at.

Here is my first convo with sticky:

Stricky "nice blaster."
Me "thanks"
Sticky " I noticed most people with nice ski's can't ride for poop"

Sticky "what are those footstraps for?"
Me "looks"
Stricky "that's what I thought"

My lesson that day: learn to ride to get any respect because a nice ski won't buy you any.

Nice ski danny, now bring your skill level up to your ski.

My favorite post all month. Did that conversation really take place?

that is very much stricky..

he dosn't beat around the bush

Someone told me this nice story about stricky today.

The first time stricky met dan (dan from the north) was at a hot water tour race down in fort Lauderdale.

Dan came in DFL, stricky said to him:

“nice job dan! Maybe if you try a little harder next year, you can come in next to dead f’n last”

Not everyone is willing to call a spade a spade but stricky is.

Not trying to start anything, but I love how a few people are "respectfully" giving Danny ******** on not really needing a ski like that, but Kingtut just had a ski built by Legdrag that cost him twice as much as Danny's ski, but no one is giving him ********. Mike's a great guy and admits that he needs to learn how to ride, but no one has told him that he should have started out with more of a stock ski.

I dont think Mike wants to let everyone know what his ski cost so I wont say anything, but Danny's ski is definitely going to be cheaper because Danny has put together a motor and driveline by himself.

Either way who freakin cares. If Danny wants to go with a waterdawg hull and spend a little more than he would on a stock hull then who cares. Im happy for him.

Danny worked his ass off to buy this hull. Now he just needs to do a little less working and a lot more riding.

arn't you saying the same thing.

I only said it to danny cause I've ridden with him and will hopfully continue to. I want all the guys I ride with to learn and get better. I want people to push me to get better as well.

Sorry to take this so off topic.

I saw the REV in Havasu this year---was very impressed with the overall ski. Lot's of effort obviously went into it---I heard somewhere around a $30,000 price tag if I remember correctly. I wonder why the guy that was supposed to buy it backed out...I heard he didn't have the money, but I'm wondering if he backed out because of some other reason---certainly he paid Jeff something up front, so I can't imagine he just backed out completely.

mile9c1---do you know what's up with that? :dunno:

Compare that boat to the EME 1k for 38K. Your getting a far better ski and value with Waterdawg.

Was anyone able to get a look inside Malones SKi at WF?<---Im not sure I would trust his work. I have seen his "patch Jobs". I think the only business he does is overseas..... They dont mind paying that premium.

only been seriously riding stand up a little over a year and decided to go with the hull b.c i am leaving for school and wont be able to finsh my SN untill i get out so i wanted something to throw together that was complete to use and have something solid to start with to build an 800platform. why spend 3500 on a RN when you can build a aftermarket for a lil more that has rev12 potential and is much lighter

What is the weight of your hull? What is the weight of the complete boat? Had to ask:biggthumpup:

My comments weren't really aimed at Danny at all. I just thought wavedemon's transcript was a funny conversation.

I never thought they were. That was pretty funny though. Tim I thought you used your footstraps. I cant see you of all people saying they were there for looks. You were joking right?

I would NEVER consider paying 20 or 30K for one stand-up ski. I will be the first to admit that I have too much ski for my riding abilities, but DAMNED if I will pay that much for a ski. I will end up at around 12K for my WCF Factory ski with an LPW 6mm Lamey. I paid 11K for my Wamiltons lightweight with a Team Scream 5mm stroker. So, I'm at 23K for two bad-ass skis and still have 7K to 15K left over if I was to buy one REV or EME.

WTF is the box on bulkhead of last pic in post 3 ? Is that for the battery or elecs. or????? ?

Good question.... I just noticed that too. I wouldn't think that would be the ideal place to put electrics, that low in the hull... but what do I know? Same goes for the batt. it would maybe seem like it would fit in sideways but why would you want the posts being that low in the hull also?

Wouldnt it be great if someone would come out with a 70lb boat w/hood that would take surf abuse for a price around 6-7k.:sneaky: Its all about the material's and skill!

I wouldn't want that. It wouldn't be any fun in the surf at least for me.

After riding Crammit's 6mil ADA Stroker with TL and Mag Pump I realized I would never want that kind of power in the surf. It's just too much to handle. Don't get me wrong it's great on flatwater, but just too much for the surf.

SkiNaked

Stand up or Shut up!

Chopper gun layup.
PVC pipe for exhaust
Rubber tube for cooling lines.

Starting to see why Waterdawg sells these things so cheap. I guess you really do get what you pay for! Looking at the internals of the X-Jet or REV (or what ever you call them these days) is nowhere close to some of the other aftermarket hulls I have seen.

If I were jeff I would ask you to remove those picture. They are not good for marketing the Ski!

Here is what I would expect the inside to look like.
