The hoses and tubes will hold up fine... Its just cold water coming up through that hose with very little pressure? Why would that cause it to rupture???

The exhaust isn't even hot back there. The PVC will last forever too. You guys are splitting hairs.

BADASS skis, BTW.

Flacarn, out of curiosity, what skill level would you consider yourself? or what kind of tricks are you performing?

Also, what made you go with a after market hull over a more powerful engine.

Everyone has their own reasons for evrything, and im just curious

I'm just stating my opinion which is based on no particular long-term study of the effects of aqueous exhaust on PVC or ABS piping and fittings...

I hope it lasts forever. :Banane01:

And it IS a nice-looking ski.

I was a little surprised at the PVC in there too, however I am impressed at what appears to be sound-dampening or resonance-cancelling padding on the exhaust tube. I find it hard to believe that he would engineer to that level, and skimp on PVC tubing if he wasn't sure it would work.

only been seriously riding stand up a little over a year and decided to go with the hull b.c i am leaving for school and wont be able to finsh my SN untill i get out so i wanted something to throw together that was complete to use and have something solid to start with to build an 800platform. why spend 3500 on a RN when you can build a aftermarket for a lil more that has rev12 potential and is much lighter

It looks like all of the lay up is by chopper gun . Does the x-jet have any structural lay up material besides the final carbon fiber re-inforcements?

Disclaimer: I am not bashing here...just making an observation based on what I see. The rev hull looks great BTW! I really dig the skull!

it is glass with glass reinforcement on sides, pump, and a sandwiched motor bed and then carbon over all that(i didnt have to $ for full carbon plus i kinda wanted a strong fiberglass hull) im not sure about this carbon stuff for longevity in the surf and the way i ride(when ur learning its beats it up), besides being 85lbs im already ahead of the game and super stong
