I had 1.5 inches taked off my driveshaft from behind the raised part of the shaft where it rides on the carrier bearing, the raised part is further back now, i think it might be laeking when the motor is running and im riding around, any idea on how it can be fixed? Or is this something that cant be fixed? Its not alot of water, its not enough for my buldges to pick up anyway i just wanted to see if there was anything i can do

I'll have some pictures today, with the side exhaust its really loud. Yesterday i also broke my driveshaft, it snaped right on the weld so today i have to pull the motor and everything else to get the shaft out and see what i can do to get it fixed or get a sxi pro drivesshaft.

I have a question about hookig up the dry pipe as opposed to wet. The line on the back of the dry pipe near the bulk head, should that go into the head or into the pisser on the side of the ski? If thats the case dose the line on the top of the head go out the side of the boat into a pisser? I have an ADA head btw

Its starting to get wamr out and the building bug has bit me once again. I have my ski aprt sitting in my basement and it maybe time to rebuild the motor, bore it out and go from there. Had a bad summer last year, cold rainy, problems that plauged my ski all summer. Towards the end when it was time to remove the ski i had a small fire. The wires going from the startor cover all the way to the E-box got fried. I think there was moisture and that in combination with not riding much casued it. I was hopping to just re wire it but im not sure if i'll need a new startor with all new lines. I'll have to look at it more once i get up to my parents house where its stored. I'll keep this thread better updated since the weather is looking good and im ready to ride alot more this summer, maybe take some tripes with the ski and ride different places.

I really wanna get my ski back to awesome shape and ride alot more, feel bad about last summer and letting it sit and get kinda down. I wanna polish my dry pipe and get my hood fixed up. Anyone have there pipe polished or kow anywhere that dose it?

Here's a picture of officer mike porting his superjet jugs, we did the same port job on my 800 jugs and what a difference.

With the dry pipe, the 28CC domes and the porting i had to up-grade my jets, so i took out the 80 low speeds that my wet pipe came with and added some 85 lows. I'm about 3/4 of the way out on the lows and the hit is awesome. I also have somne stiffer pop off springs to go in but i was waitiung for them to come in at my local shop.

I'm thinking i also need to re-upgrade my impeller for the added power, i seem to be spinning out my 10/18 large hub swril, i might look at a hooker prop or see about trading mine in for a deeper pitch, not looking for crazy top end just low end grunt.

Im pleased with the way my ski is fianlly running, next i'd like to finally get my new hand pole and a lightweight flywheel. I'll take some pictures of the ski out on the water and get them up when i can.

Time to shake the dust off this build thread and re-vamp it along with my ski. Everything is out of the engine compartment and its just a shell. I wanna clean up the motor maybe paint it? IDK yet i do know that i want to patch up the whole in the side of the boat from the side exhaust. i took it off to it being to loud and the dry pipe being already loud enough with my TDR waterbox. I have has some flimsey metal and silicone patch on there but it was leaking water and i decided to fiberglass it and do it right. I'm not in a hurry to get my ski in i wnana do it right. Also got some new blowsion parts, and everyone loves that stuff.

I put the first layer of glass on the inside tonight, i wanna ruff up the gel coat before i do the outside. I was thining about taking that 1.5 inches off the rear wqhile i have all the fiberglass materials but im not sure on how to get the exhuast pipe out Any suggestions? next i wanna clean the rust i have on the head bolts and pipe bolts, i ordered all new lord mounts and rubber bushings from factory pipe becasue the old ones are stripped and look like the dog got to them. Tommorow i will get some pictures up and lay down another layer of glass on the inside and outside.

If i do decided to hack the rear up to shorten the ski i will send out my prop to impros and get it re-pitched for the summer but we will see.

More to come................
