Custom/Hybrid My SN build

The 1208 and 1708 from us composites has a layer of 3/4 ounce mat that is stitched in (instead of glued together with binder) which makes it compatable with epoxy. But I still don't like it mostly because of the mat layer. Just dosent wet out as quickly as I would like it too. Theres some good info in the link that dalton posted.

While the US Composites fabric may not have binder as you say, the binder I am referring to is within the chopped strand mat itself before it is stitched into the fabric. The stitching is what holds the mat to the fabric not binder.

Quick question. I'm about to start building up the tray and start the foothold install. My question is, should I move my footholds forward to compensate for the 4 inch shorter rear end? I've had a couple people say I should move them forward, but I'm not sure if I should or not.....

If you plan on cutting your rideplate flush, then yes move them bitches way forward. But if you're going to be riding with one foot forward all the time and not going to cut the rideplate then id just move them a little more forward. My buddy did a 3 inch slant cut on his sj with bob footholds and his poop rode pretty nose high he regretted not moving them forward

Here's pic of my my ski and how far forward my footstraps are. They look pretty far forward but I pretty much can only put my toes in there because the foam is so thick lol. It still rides a little nose high but I can level it out if I lean forward, but then again i weigh 200 pounds lol so im sure that doesn't help.

Here's a pic of the rail around the nose. I got it trimmed down and looking sweet! Kinda reminds me of a am hull the way the rail stops on the sides of the nose.

I'm still having trouble figuring out how far forward I should move my foot hold kit. I chopped 4 inches off the back. Should I move them 4 inches forward? I'd rather not start a new thread just for this question. More opinions would be really great at this point.
Thanks again in advance!

I've kinda been taking it slow on this build because I'm getting myself ready for army boot camp at the same time, which is taking a lot of my time at the moment. But she is slowly but surely getting done. I'm shipping out to fort Jackson South Carolina in December.

Get a 400-500lb tire and flip it 25 times followed by jumping up on it 50 times then repeat. Do that for an hour and you will be in the best shape there. You can also use the tire as a stand for your ski. :)

Thats a dam good idea!! I appreciate the advice!! I've got a back pack loaded with 50 pounds of weight that I've been running with 5 days a week, on top of all the pushups, pullups, and situps I've been doing

That sounds like it is horrible on your knees! I would keep up the running but without the weights. Also do things like sprint 100 yards do 25 burpees, rest for 60 seconds, sprint 100 yards, do 25 burpees etc. until you get to the point you do not need rest. You might also look into a crossfit gym a couple days a week. Just don't hurt yourself at the gym, don't be afraid to tell the trainer to F off if they tell you to do over head squats after running sprints or something like that.
