Custom/Hybrid My SN build

Would it be worth it to do a bulkhead bearing conversion while I have the tray open? I have a new bulkhead bearing for a 94 raider that's been hanging out in my closet for the last year or so. Is it even possible?

If you live in Cali, we can meet up some time and I'll let you ride my ski when it's done so you can test out the 4 inch chop, rocker nose, and the bob footholds...
Yeah, they're designed for an RN. You'll definitely have to do some modding to get them to fit.. Should be worth it tho! I've always wanted to try adjustable holds.

Oh cool! Well luck you.. You got out of the cold this year! Where do you live in cali? I used to go there a bit to visit my great grandma. Mostly near San Diego, Carlsbad, gas lamps, etc. All that fun stuff!

Trim tube, steering cable tube, bilge line and two cooing lines installed! I got 3m 5200 from lowes for 11.99 a tube

5200 slow cure is some really runny stuff! Lowes has fast cure also, which is supposedly thicker viscosity. Usually in the composites world, the longer it takes to cure the better it soaks in and bonds on a molecular level. So as a default from my past composites career knowledge, I went with the slow cure. From what I've read about fast and slow cure, it's pritty much personal preference on which one you will want to use. It really depends on how much time you have before it needs to be water ready. Slow cure is •up to 7 days to be water ready" and fast cure is "24 hours and it's water ready".

I ordered a gallon of resin, 1/2 gal of medium hardener (because Steve at us composite recommended medium), 5 quarts of cabosil, 5 yards of 1708, 5 yards of 1208, and 6 yards of carbon fiber fabric from us composites today. Once that gets to my door, I'm gonna start glassing everything together. And the carbon fiber is for the final reinforcement of the engine compartment. I've got the hull all prepped and ready to go. After the hull is done, it will be time to start on the hood. Now I have a decision to make on the hood. Do I remove the liner, or no? I deffinently want the hood to be strong, and I'm not sure it will be strong enough with the liner out.
Any suggestions on what I should do about the hood liner dilemma?

On a side note, I will never use 3m 5200 slow cure ever again!! It takes WAY too long to harden up! It's a moisture cure product and it's been raining and kinda humid over here in Cali and it still taking forever to harden! I layed it down last Sunday, and it's still tacky to the touch as of this morning!
3m 5200 fast cure is deffinently the way to go!!

Let the fun begin!! I finally got a two day weekend off! It's been 3 months since Ive had a Saturday off!! I love the 40 dollar an hour over time, but I deffinently need a break from work!!

Just cut the hole for my exhaust, and I'm not happy with the thickness of my fiberglass job so when my resin and supplies get here I'll be laying another layer or two down on the inside to get a little extra thickness.

I made great progress on the ski this weekend. I got the bond line filled all the way around, and got most of the nose area prepped for the rocker kit install. Next weekend I should have the nose glassed on. Once I get my exhaust tube back, I'll be able to start foaming and foothold install. Oh yeh! I can smell the river already!
