This is what it should kinda look like when the cuts are made.

For the front top, just follow the body line just behind the now eye. I'm almost do t cutting it up. I have two more cuts to make.

What I cut off weighs just over 10 pounds, and I still have a little more trimming to do. The new nose peace alone weighs just under 6 pounds.

Got a little fine tuning to do to get it fitting just right, but it's pritty much there.

Gunwales,
should I chop them down, or no?
I kinda like the way it looks with them at stock height.

I decide that I'm gonna leave the gunwales at stock height until I get the foot hold kit and then decide if they need to be cut down or not. As for what to use in reinforcing the hull and tray area, I've decided on carbon fiber to keep weight minimal just incase I decide to not cut the gunwales. I've already cut roughly 15 pounds of materiel off the hull it's self, plus I chopped the hood down, and I'm removing the liner also. It should be nice and light once it's finished. I got the nose fitting really nicely now, and it's getting close to being ready for bonding it to the hull.

Carterb gave me a great idea to use ratchet straps around the nose peace in as many directions as possible to get it pulled in as tight as possible all the way around. He also says that it should only overlap the hull about a 1/2". So it looks like I'll very cutting a little more of the hull away, which is fine with me because it will be even lighter then I anticipated. So far it's a pain in the arss to get this thing fitting right, but I'm having a ton of fun doing it!!

After reading about your luck with the nose piece I am going to go with the two part foam method.

I think even with the fitting process it would deffinently be a lot easier then not using the carterb rocker kit to rocker the nose. I'm soooooo happy I found the carterb rocker kit cuz if I didn't I most likely wouldn't have done the nose rocker.

Yes deffinently. The fun part is getting them to fit right. I think this kit is actually for a round nose. It's a little different and I will have to cut the sides down a little to match up with the kit.

Yeah, they're designed for an RN. You'll definitely have to do some modding to get them to fit.. Should be worth it tho! I've always wanted to try adjustable holds.
