Custom/Hybrid My SN build

Here gose! I'm starting another build. This time it's a 1990 sn superjet. This won't be a quick build. I'm going to take it slow. My goal is to have it ready for next spring. I will be chopping 3 inches off the back and removing the entire tray and refoaming it. I will be adding footholds also. I haven't decided yet, but I think I might redo the nose. If I do mess with the nose I will also relocate the pole mount also. This Sunday I will start with removing the turf and cutting the tray out. And yes, this all will take place in my living room because I live in a apartment! The aluminum hand pole that is on the ski right now will be for sale as soon as I get it take off the hull. Anyone interested?

What pole are you going to be putting on it? I do not envy your neighbors at all! Lol!

I'm looking for a rn pole to get me threw until I save up enough cash for a billet RRP pole. It's needless to say, but my neighbors hate me! And my wife hates me even more once there is a Jetski in the living room! This will be the 3rd stand up jet ski that I built in this very same living room!

You are going to cut fiberglass in your apartment's living room while living with your wife????

This is crazy!

How do you deal with the mess from cutting and sanding?

Yup, I sure am! You should have seen what I had to do to my last 550/750 that I did fiberglass work too right here in my living room. I've got a bad ass shop vac that I keep turned on pritty much the entire time with the hose pointed right at the source of dust. It works surprisingly well. On top of that the couch and tv get covered, and a tarp laid down under the ski. I've got a very good wife! She pritty much forced us into a apartment, so I get to do what ever I want. So far I've built 3 stand ups and a full custom Harley in this living room.

I haven't had much time lately to work on this thing until today. Here's a few pics of the progress.

Update pics. Got the back cut up finally. And I bought some foam from Home Depot and start making some molds for my side rails and foot holds. I'm gonna make my own bob style foot hold setup.

What should I used for my trim cable tube, and how do I seal it in the pump area? Should I used a steering cable setup like what the steering cable uses to seal the water out in the pump area, or??

Using the foam to fill the rear looks clean!

Thanks, I need to be able to lay fiberglass down to start building the wall back up, and foam just seemed like it would be easiest to shape the wall from. Once I have a good layer of glass on the outside, I'm going to rip out the foam and lay fiberglass on the inside also.

The rear end is getting a steady stream of semi slow progress, but is coming along nicely. It's deffinently starting to take shape. I'm going to add a layer or two more of some 1208 to the outside to raise the surface a little more, and then it's sanding time again! She will be flipped back over upright this weekend.

I need a little help. I just purchased a carterb square nose superjet nose rocker kit from a friend and it dose not come with the measurements and templates for cutting the hull to accept the new rockered nose peace. I tried contacting carterb but he's not replying to my messages.
Is there anyone out there in Jetski world who has the measurements and templates for cutting a square nose superjet hull to accept the new rocker nose peace? I will pay for copies if necessary. Please help.
Thank you for reading this!
