Get a multimeter and check the resistance of the cables. That's got to be the problem. There's got to be a bad ground or something. How long ago did it start perfectly well?

before i took the motor out like an hour before..... disconnected the plug wires. ground to the battery, postive to the battery and took off the postive started wire on the cdi side .... took the motor out rested it on a piece of plywood across the deck so i didnt have to disconnect the other wires

and i checked all my grounds cleaned all the connections...... i dont get it lol

Might be the starter solenoid. When you put the starter lead back onto the solenoid post you may have twisted the post inside the solenoid and partially broken off something internally. Or, it could even be that the last time you tried to use the starter, was the last little bit left on the brushes to work well. My sea-doo did that too, the brushes were shot when I took the starter apart.

check the fuse on the cdi first, use a tester to test the leads, make sure there is spark. i think its osmthing electrical becuase u say it cranks fine with the plugs arnt connected
