My new R.E.V. ski from Waterdawg

Well Superramjet stole some of my thunder, but that is OK because it seems there is a good discussions going on. Here are some pictures of my R.E.V. ski that Jeff made for my son and me. Tom picked it up at the same time he got his.

It was 110 degrees here yesterday and since my wife left town for the week I thought there was no need to work outside while I had an air condition basement not being used. (My wife would not approve of this) Since I don’t have all my parts to get it running, I have no choice but to take my time putting it together. So I have spent the past 4 evenings sanding with 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper. Then hand rubbed with polish two or three times then borrowed a friends buffer and did it right. I think I have it BLINGING now. I will post more when I get the rest of my parts, which should be here on Monday. I will also be putting in a 66E motor with a standard bore in it. I predict there will be a run on used GP800's on eBay if this platform proves it self.

Mine is the fiberglass version and weighs in at 97 lbs with out the hood. The pole weighs 11 lbs. Hood is about 10 lbs.

Jeff, Thanks for building such a nice looking ski. I can’t wait to have it on the water.

Here are some that show off the lines a lot better. Jeff did a nice job when he went about making his changes.

What is up with the 'handhold'? Seems like you could catch body parts on it.

Overall I like the concept, but the lines are a bit busy for me. I like it better than the x-jet for sure though.

everything he said. nice boat

I love the lines, and the paint as well. The one thing I see that looks like it could be improved is the front handhold. Looks to be really thin?maybe rounding the edges or something...idk....Good choice though

how long did you have to wait fror your hull???

I ordered an X-Jet hull end of Aug last year. Jeff started making his changes late last year and called me sometime in Feb 06 and told me what was going on. He said to be paitent. He sent me some picks of his new mold and let me make up my mind. Did I want his X-Jet hull or his New R.E.V. hull. The wait was really hard once summer was hear but I think it was worth it. What would you say after seeing these pictures? I already have one of his X-Jet hulls so it was an easy choice.

My advise if anyone wants one is to be able to wait and be happy you are getting one from Jeff. I believe Jeff is a work a holic perfectionist. I tell you this as a fact, the moment you receive your ski, all the anger and frustration you felt while waiting won’t matter any more, because you know you are one of the lucky people who has something special. A high quality product built by someone who is a true enthusiast of the sport.
