I'd like to do something similar with a mermaid instead of a stripper - if it's too much, I'll re-think my paint plans

yep - that's what I'm thinking - except on the side like the stripper.

maybe a bit more modest (with a hand over the nipple) so that it don't draw tooo much attention on the beach.

reddish hair

kinda like a slutty "little mermaid" without the nipples :wink:

orange as a base color in place of green

Price for that ski before for the girl including materials: $1200
Add another $300 for the stripper, $500 if the illustration is bigger and has more detail like the Betty Page mermaid.
It really all depends on how long it takes me and how much of a pain in the a$$ it is to pull off. The bloody girl with the amputation saw took over 10 hours to paint (just the girl not the splatters or razor graphics) because I kept messing it up. Illustrating blood running down her arm and making it look like it was wraping around was tricky. The hands were horrible because of where they were on the SX, the boat has body lines that were distorting the view and don't even get me started on her nose... That ski was going to have a girl on each side, but by the time I was finished with the first one I was burnt on the whole thing, besides I wanted to get on the water.

Well you'd have to also budget in the cost of getting a hull from Texas to Washington and back.... :scared:

Daylite's base design is similar to what I was thinking of doing, but in different colors. Adding the stripper or a mermaid - that's a bonus.

I'll really have to consider transport costs - but it might be doable...if transport is too much - I can find a local artist. The biggest thing I'd be worried about is damage in transit on the return trip.

I have an acquaintance that is a trucker. I could get it up there cheap. Getting it back is my concern :wink:
