Well after a good seaon of riding Im finally going to change the ski. This is what I have in store for it:

1st: Widen the tray and shape it to the "sxr" look.
I've been playing around with the sharpie and think im going to widen it 1 3/4" on each side of the tray. Im still trying to decide if I should go with holds or straps. Im not sure if the tray will be wide enough for holds.

2nd: Refoam.

3rd: 650 pump mod. I dont have a single part for this mod so if anyone has parts they want to sell pm me. Im going off of special fx's thread hoping its still current info.

4th: Paint. Never shot anything before so I figure ide take a stab at it.

Ill keep updating this as much as I work on it, thanks for reading and for the help in advance. Before and in action.

Well I finally started on the tray... I found out real quick the tubes in the way. Where is a good place to get foam from? Isnt there a pound rating as well?

I have my trays like that, and i guess i should have warned you, it can suck when trying to get up. The first time i pulled my lower stomach muscle trying. Now i have to steer with one hand while use the other to push myself up. But then again i have a crescent cut for trim on mine so that doesn't help. Looks sweet so far.

I would consider fillin in the indentions near the pole bracket so you can go without the "high pivot" plastic cover thing.

Speaking of which, anyone got pics of how they did that? it looks like you would have to counter sync the bracket or raise it if you want it all flush.

We just filled mine in, we didn't raise the bracket at all.

the only thing i can say from what i have seen is:

when doing the whole sxr thing, make sure it blends. people have a flat spot and then make it dip, kinda kills it for me but if they like it, oh well. Also, lower in the rear looks a little better.

just my opinion. doesn't mean you have to do it.

Refoam after you get the pump mod finished. You will have to build up the pump intake from the inside so dont foam till that is done. If you want a oneway or scupper now is the time to thimk about.
Not sure if you have seen my build thread here it is. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/67806&page=2

Today I sliced out part of the tray to defoam and get ready to apply some fiber glass. Everything under that tray leaked: intake bolt holes, impeller shaft tube on both ends and the water lines. I was wondering what other people are doing to fix this.

Well everything is out of the hull now and I layed my first layer of glass over the shoe area yesterday. The glass job was a bit sad... I had few corner areas that didn't get enough resin but I think it will hold! How many layers is everyone else doing? I thought of just doing a cloth layer, mat layer and finish with another cloth layer. I also want to fill the bond line but can't remember what to use. On a positive note, the pump shoe came out super easy with the help of my heat gun.
