My first ride since Daytona

damn frosty...
well atleast you got a back up boat sorta
hey look on the bright side...ask your wife if you can do a little makeover on that motor haha

did you store that ski in subfreezing temperatures?

a ported cylinder thats ungirdled can easily crack right there in the corner of the casting and feezing water can expand the already compromised metal in that area. just a theory.

id shyt my shorts if i pulled the hood of one of my skis to see that!

i just ordered a bunch of stuff and hell yes I will be changing from a non girdled head to a girdled head for sure.

my new ski should be back from paint this week... the motor for that ski is sitting on the bench ready to go - with a girdled head, ported, etc etc... i should be back on the water next week.

minor set back... at least it happened early in the season and not in the middle of the summer.

i was actually more pissed about the speeding ticket i got... grrrrrrrrr

That is a good point also. We did drive from Daytona, right into the snow, and considering that is where it is ported.... Hmmmm. Could be a water freezing issue, but it did run fine for at least 15 minutes. It should have went before that, if it was cracked.
