my femur hurts

bailed a stab too late like an idiot.
luckly its not broken, because the impact broke the clip on the limiting rope and bent my turnplate!

waves were huge, clean, and i was riding alone. did a sweet roll today too.

looks nice, femurs are no fun to break i strongly suggest never doing it.

I second that. I just had all the hardware pulled out of mine from shattering it in 06. I should be 100% in about 3 months. I just got of crutches today. It really has to be one of the worst bones to break..

any reason why they took your chit out? they told me i would be better of leaving it in....but i do know a guy who bent the rod in his femur, was a complete horro story

that sucks. i cracked my pole trying to do a backy in daytona. i thoght i broke my femur too but the doc said its just severe tissue damage. hurts like hell still.

I have had a rod in mine for 13 years and no problem, always wondered what the rod looked like.

that right there is the reason. If you do something bad enough to break it again you are either going to destroy a knee or hip and bend the rod. If the rod bends the femur really gets destroyed. If that happens you would be lucky to ever walk normal again. It was bad enough the first time. I don't want to deal with anything worse than that. Most doctors don't want to mess with taking them out. It is a huge pain. My doctor said with all the stuff I do I am in the high risk category.

I just got back from the Doc. My screw holes are filling in and the empty space where the rod is getting less pronounced. I am cleared to start running on an elliptical for 2 weeks. Then I can start running for real. I should be cleared to ride the ski by March 29.
