it may be gripier the other way, but it's too late and I don't fall out or slip , so no worries

whats so funny about it? have you tried it? its not much different that grooved turf with the grooves going fwd/bck.

Yes, actually, I have tried it. When I was building my ski I spent a month researching in which direction the turf yielded the best grip. I even built a machine that can measure Coefficient of friction out to 8 significant figures. I found the results indeterminate.

I also made sure all of the washers on my ski were facing the same direction. I don’t want to create a tear in the space-time continuum.

Just ride
mine faces the 'slippery' direction and i never fell out or slipped. It might feel more slippery with your hand, but there is no difference.

The gray doesn't fade as fast or look worn as quick in my opinion. Put it where it takes the most abuse.

maybe i should rephrase my original post in here.....

im not saying youll DEFINATELY slip if you run your diamonds fwd/bck.

but there IS a difference between the friction of l/r vs fwd/back. i tried it today on the water, after posting in this, now, ridiculous thread with wet asics.

fwd/bck = slippery
L/R = not as slippery

sorry guys. i know im right on this. any other opinion is wrong and therefore shrugged off as ignorance.

actually, i was just kidding. there really is no difference. i just came up with that out of nowhere.
