Wheres the best place currently? I see amazon is out of stock, and streetsideauto doesnt seem to have any coupons now.

Anybody have some tips?

I was thinking he was referring to the enhancers since he mentioned Amazon... I think the best place is none, get total loss instead. :fing02:

Foximus is still going to school, he can't afford the T/L

Now who in the hell needs school when there is total loss to be had???

Those of us that have t/l know that t/l rules the world.

lol

Now to be serious-sell your ski and everything else you have and stay your azz in school until you are a doctor or lawyer.

Or say F Dave Ramsey-get a credit card and buy a bunch of t/l stuff. lol

TL is great if you can get a good used setup. It's the best mod I've ever done but I don't think I'd be willing to pony up $1400 or so for a new system. Then again I didn't notice much of a difference between a stock flywheel and a stock lightened flywheel and I've heard only marginal improvements from the enhancers but they're still extremely popular...so to each their own.

LoL fred... you aint kiddin man. Btw. Thanks again for stopping on the greenway... even if I didnt need help. Thought that counts.

yea I'd really love to go with total loss... Im searching around for a used setup... Know anybody with one? Otherwise I was thinking of just buying a MSD enhanhcer and a JSS coil and totally rewireing and sealing mine up, cause after 10 minutes of riding at daytona I had shorting issues.

Bombthreat is selling a brain for $200 I believe.... should be in the for sale section still. I've got a kawi pickup plate, pickup, and flywheel if you need them. Can't remember what kind of engine you're running these days.

Foximus aurelius,

keep it simple... new oem ebox gasket, JSS coil, and enhancer or not. You have more than enough power for now, you need ride time more than anything...

the msd enhancer was the biggest waste of money on my ski yet.... those things take chits... get a pro tec mod. WAY more reliable... and just crank the rev limiter up.

Chisel, more than always, the reason they fail is due to a bad ground wire. The MSD enhancers need a perfect ground signal with very little resistance.

ive tried it all. grounds tested out fine w/ my meter. All wires tested within specs. new start stop/ new stator, and pretty much replaced everything in the ebox. cleaned and greaced all contacts. tried multiple grounds on motor. read every possible thread i could find. msd has the worst customer service. they dont know chit/ about it,and wont help you unless you pay like 30$ bucks + roundtrip shipping. you know more about them than i do. my pro tec and stocker work fine. and honestly? i didnt notice any difference between the msd and my rev limit modded protec at all. i think its just the rev limit adjustment that makes people feel the difference. not msds technology.
any ideas?

Well admittedly their product does not have very high tolerance control. Some are advanced as far as 10* some as far as 2*. Among other factors.

The main thing is I need to get my motor running at least 7k RPMs to get it on the pipe quick enough. Right now my rev limiter is keeping me at like 6500 and it blows. Advance or not, its still a rev limit raiser that i can actually buy new still.

Also, if you are still having bad luck with your msd, I suggest boiling the sealant wax stuff out of hte back, spraying some quick fix oil into the dip switches, toggle them back and forth, get corrosion out, re set them, then reseal it all up with epoxy.
