I sold my 650 short block for $300 on ebay, and put it towards buiding a 701. Kept the carb and electronics from the 650.
X cases ported (don't know who, they were done when I got them) $70
61x cylinder ported by me $75
race logic templates $60
OEM sleeves and pistons from Wamilton's $110 (cheaper than a bore, and new pistons)
stock intake and reeds $30

stock milled head for 175 psi $60

$445 inveseted for a 701, and I like putting this stuff together myself.
Sold the Coffman Sizzler pipe that was on the 650 for $200, and got a b pipe for $420. I have yet to see if it's worth the $220 difference. I've also collected enough parts to put together a dual 44 carbed 61x/62t longblock recently. What's wrong with me?????
I'm not in a big hurry to put it together, since the 61x is enough for me right now.
