Ive got a few more questions about this motor that came in my WB1. This motor is using a 62t case with 61x cyls. so what do I need for a complete gasket kit? Do I just get one for the 62t? Also it has a cast PROTec head on it and when I took it apart they had used the o-rings and a head gasket. But I'm guessing that may not be the right way to go. Is ProTec still in buiseness? This looks to be a ProTec motor. It definetley has PT ported cyls. and the case has been ported and it looks like the crank is aftermarket. I thought if they were still in buiseness maybe I could get some history on it. It has some scribed #'s at the base of the cyls. just thought maybe they could look it up. Sorry for the novel and thanks for the help

Yeah I found there website and it said ProTec 2003. And then I tried the phone # that was shown and it came up "no longer in service". So thats what made me wonder.

Take some pics if you want more answers, inside and out. Did you call protec

Same link as above.. Someone will be able to tell you by looking at it the kind of porting its for.

the exhaust gasket mayl be a little different from a 61x but eveything else should be the same, exhaust gasket will probably even work, As for the head I would just use a o ring if thats what its designed for. Go to the website and see what they use for cranks and see if it matches up with what you got.

Measure where the rings go and order from McMaster Carr it will save you a bunch of cash and you will have extra for spares.
