Mods list for the 08-09 first pics

Been digging around and see a couple little threads here and there but nothing conclusive. Just bought a new 09

First mods

Starting with a head (35 cc domes)
B pipe
xft footholds
am steering plate with straight bars
dbl bildge pump
http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/58002 steering (did this to the old superjet and loved it)
leave the stock impeller alone for time being

Future plans

Seems like concensus says get a pre 08 pole and steering cable

Intake grate
cut ride plate
Reinforcing hull
Lowered lightweight hood and nose piece
A guy in our group sports an 08 w/(pipe, head and prop) and it seems pretty solid with the exception of the steering mod to the pump area, he has not heard of it.

Have already
enhancer
hood straps
stubby cone
turf and padding
new versions of xft footholds
reinforcing material for next months fix
ADA head with 35 cc domes
b pipe
handlepole mount bildge setup with dual 800's

Autumn runs the Worx 228 intake grate on hers and she likes it. Also, the flush cut to the back of the ski rideplate that Steve and I did worked to get the nose up.

Oh, you need to add MSD Enhancer to your list of goodies.

Yeah, Steves ski is kinda the base line for the minimum I am going to do. Need to sell some big toys so I can contiue my spending rampage. This ski is paid for. I kinda like steves footholds but need to see some other options, I have the 24/7 jayr has the wamiltons. Need to see more to judge but will order them monday so they will be here when steveowe brings it back next week.

These are the ones everybody has been going for lately. I'm putting these in Autumn's ski over the winter.

You need an 07 or earlier cable, after market handle pole or a stock 07 or earlier handle pole and a steering setup(i recommend the xmetal setup). You will be amazed how differently your ski handles. It's a spendy mod but well worth it IMO.

If your going to do a b pipe pick up an enhancer as well. Theres a like on here to amazon when you can pick them up way cheaper than any jetski shop.

This is what I put in my ski. I went with the Cyclones and I love them. The foothold and mat kit combo makes it easy cause all the turf is pre-cut and it comes with step-by-step instructions.

You have yours installed already? Would like to see the cylones first hand, really wanting something somewhat deep Got the old superjet all put together with the new pole tonight. Its ready to be ridden. Think I worked out a few gremlins over the last few days.

After weeks of looking and thinking I found what I wanted. Its the newest versions from XFT. I ordered these, 1208 biaxial, resin, turf and padding. Will order a new pipe and head next :) I love the 09

Nice, hope you put it to good use! hows the surgery healing?? I love the 09, though breaking it in sucks. I jumped on the 08 in our group with everything on it and man it rips, I can't wait to get through these tanks.

What is it you like about the 09 vs the 07 and older?

I rode an 09 and it had great hook. It really felt similar to my 01 with mods, albeit a lot slower.

mine was a little slower but then again I am running 32:1 and staying out of the top end for the first 2 tanks, then it will be time for a head and pipe

I spent most the time on a 93, I enjoyed how easy slippery it was but to an extent it was to much slippery, it would let go when I didnt want it to. I have ridden pre 08's but not as much as I have spent on 08. I really like how aggressive the hull is. Yes it will come loose when I am ready and when I don't it won't. Glad to see the engineers step up to the plate with this ski. Short of the steering I think its a great ski.
