i thought i had seen someone here a few years back cut one in half and gut the insides then weld it back up .. how much improvement or set back on a 701 would you expect to see, I would assume the ski would be a ton louder

I drilled a 1-1/2" hole though both baffle plates and its loud but not COMPLETELY annoying yet. Couldn't imagine what would happen if the plates were completely removed.

I did a 1995 and drilled 5- 3/8" holes through the baffles I don't mind the noise it's not bad at all and it ripp's. I don't know how much of an improvement it was because I did all the mod's at once but had to have helpep the 1995 has 2" inlet also makes it excellent for the fpp blaster limited fatty pipe
