take a lot of pics of the vent placement and the tubes that go into the hull.

this is where i have no idea what to do. and how to attach the tubes to the liner and how far they are suppose to stick up.

so when you get there i would appreciate it.

roger!

ill use and epoxy glue to hold the breather tubes in. i may just go with one big tube instead of 2 small ones.

it will go above that 'triangular area' thats made up of the tank, flywheel cover and B chamber.

theyll go up about 2" or so into the liner.

What are you using for the new liner material? I know there are threads about this but I am too lazy to dig through them right now.

the liner is actually a flat fiberglass sheet. the white is gelcoat..... ill take pics of the other side since its not glued in. its just setting in there. it just looks like fiberglass and resin on the other side. id say its a tad thicker than 1/16"

Did you make up the sheet your self? Or is it a bought item?

from what Ive seen, dont most put the tube all the way up to the top of the hood?

You dont really need to put the tube all the way to the top of the hood. It just has to stick up past the liner so that if water DOES somehow make its way into the liner, it wont trickle down the tubes and into your engine compartment.

The tubes can be placed wherever they will fit in your copartment. They dont even have to be long, I just used shortened stock hoses for mine. I held mine in place with 3m5200 and they havent budged

Heres a picture for some of you that dont understand the tubes, its not that hard at all. Hopefully this clears some air.

if you fill in all of your stock vents im pretty sure you wont get enough water to go 2 or 3 inches high, and come down the tubes
ive put my sj under water for a good amount of time and my hood has been dry. Ive popped it off after subbing it to see how much water I took into the liner, and there was next to none
