Working on a friends ski and just swapped the jets in some stock 38mm SBN's and when I went to set the high/low screws to a good starting point, I noticed there were no high or low adjustment screws. What's up with that? Never seen any carbs like that before.

Its a thin metal cap over them. Its so you cant mess with the adjustments and help pollute the air more...lol

You can drill a small hole through them and pull it out with a hook tool, or just drill a big enough hole to adjust the screw.

Thanks guys. F-ing uneducated hippies...unbelievable! These weren't thin though, they were the thickness of the primer plugs and sat just off the screws which of course I hit with the drill bit no matter how careful I was.

I use a dremel with a cutoff wheel, kind of a guessing game on the first one to figure out the thickness but once you figure one out the rest are easy. (its better to make more cuts than to replace your adjustment screws)

Take the carbs off drill out the cap small flat head screw high and lows in all of the way, count turns, write down, use chop saw and cut 3/8 inch offof column. Blow out clean off remove screws and replace with T handles to original settings.
