Super Jet MidShaft housing HELP!!!!!!

So the bearings in my midshaft housing decided to go bye bye. With this i lost everything else too except the pump bearings. I Was trying to press out the rubber dampener that holds the bearings in place but realized i can't get it to come out with a 12 ton press.

My first question is, can i buy just that rubber housing and not the whole thing?

Will that housing press out? If so what is the best way to go about doing it? Also i can't get the bearings to come out either.

Thanks,

Shane

http://www.capitolcycle.com/fiche_s...ory=Watercraft&make=YAMAHA&year=1994&fveh=627 this is a diagram for a 94 square nose. if its not correct, change the year/unit and click on Jet unit and pull up the diagram per exact ski. But, this shows what all comes apart. Looks like a circlip may be holding you up!!
Hope this helps. BTW this website is the dealer i worked at/ get oem parts from. They carry all the main brands and have a parts fiche for most. Check em out. Great guys

Well im not sure if i understand you correctly, but the rubber part in the midshaft housing isnt supposed to come off?
You can remove the seals, locking rings and press out the one bearing and replace the parts.

No the rubber is vulcanized i think its called, like the engine mounts. If the rubber lets go, its failed.
But why isnt it a option to replace, seals, locking rings and bearing?
We just did one that was really bad shape and locked up with saltwater.
