Super Jet Mid Shaft question

Hey guys this is my first build and i am putting together a RRP FR-2, I had 3 questions about the mid shaft install, I installed the pump lined everything up and then flipped the ski over and installed the mid shaft everything seems to line up amazing do i still need to shim the midshaft or can i mount it right to the firewall?

My next question is what is this hole on the side of the midshaft for?

My last question is what type of grease can i use on this i am in canada and i cant seem to find any Molybdenum Disulfide grease.

You only need to shim the midshaft housing if it isn't square to the bulkhead. Best to silicone the outer rim of the housing to bulkhead as well.

Your pic doesnt show, but is it the threaded hole? That is for grease hose fitting, but can just put a bolt in it.

Any marine grease will be fine.
