Hello All,
I recently purchased my first stand up from my buddy. Brand new motor build one size over, new crank, new aluminum cradle (light!), carb rebuild, etc. The boat will have plenty of power down low for me to eventually learn to barrel roll and back flip.
I need to cut the pole and would like to know how you decide how much of the pole to cut. I'm 5'7 175lbs; I was thinking a 3 in cut would be best. My buddies brother who is also a good friend who i will be riding with cut his super jet pole 2.5in, I'm very comfortable on his but i know the SXi is heavier, so i think the .5in will help counter that a bit. Any input as to how this is determined will help, do you know?
Also, if I want to practice back flipping and barrel roles should i reinforce the hull/ If so how do i go about doing this and what material, and where do you reinforce? Will this add extra weight in doing so?
The ski has plenty of power down low has a massive carb set up, and it is the big pin motor. I just want to make sure everything else is set up properly for me to achieve my goal.
Iv'e also been deciding weather or not to put a water box in, the stock one is nasty looking; will this hurt me in hopes of achieving my goal of back flipping or barrel rolling by loosing low end power? Ski currently has a dual exhaust set up.
Thanks for reading.
