you also need a big hub prop to run a mag pump either a 08 up superjet stock impeller or a hooker would be my prop of choice my setup is almost exactly the same as yours.

What is your setup and how much better was it after the mag pump and hooker impeller?

JM is asking that most likely because if there is a gap you are losing power. If there is a gap you will want a new wear ring when you get the pump and prop.

If there is a larger than normal gap, then the impeller is worn and inefficient. A new impeller will be a bigger benefit in this case. Wear rings dont usually 'wear' much, the impeller does.

its a 91 square with 61x61x 701 msd enhancer protec pipe d cut plate etc, dropped in a solas mag and a hooker and could feel a big difference on bottom end especially in chop.

What is the difference in the different amount of veins in a pump?

its more veins combined with a bigger center section that increases the velocity of the water moving thru the pump section that makes the mega thrust
