guys,if that battery doesnt work in your ski then you have other starting system issues ie bad cables or starter.your old full size battery only masks the problem.my cables although they looked fine had super high resistance.after a full day of riding my battery would be almost dead.a small battery would barely turn the motor over.i installed brand new oem cables and the little battery cranks my ski like a banshee now.

That battery is used in a 90cc kids atv. If you want somehing with more juice try a yuasa ytx9-bs. This one is used in many 600-1000cc sport bikes. It's roughly half the size of a yb16cl-b.

nothing wrong w/ my batt. and going on 3 weeks...
ridden about 10 times...

LOL.

I like the 1.5 back motor on KX454's ski! The Trinity hood made more of a difference :Banane01:. but that is a G.

:arms: You dont want it getting to nose light either... A setback motor is not ideal for all circumstances... goes back to neutralizing weight. :barrel:

With the Trinity hood, small battery, TDR box, and 1 gallon of fuel, I bet the SXR would be a blast! Then remove the foam, excess glue, and the rear exhaust, and your pearl for flatwater roles Im sure... with a limited setup.

Setting the engine back does make the nose feel lighter. But unless you do some work to remove weight from the complete ski I dont see any plate to plate rolls. Also when you move the engine to lighten the nose it makes the rear of the ski feel heavy.

Anyone who hasn't tried the Trinity hood wouldn't believe the difference. I expected very little, but it blew me away. It's a whole new ski.

I have the money for the Trinity Hood...just debating whether or not I am going to bite the bullet and buy it. Want to...but damn at 19 a $1000 is alot fo ********ing money... I liek doing little cheap mods for the time being. Cutting the glue out and batterybox, battery, TDR box, and moving motor back with supplies and tools (drill bits, taps, etc) included cost me less than 300$.

I say Hood Hood Hood! I haven't turned my bilge on yet so water ingestion is very minimal.. I run a Deka sealed glass pack battery from a Harley, its six lbs and has 120cca. fires it up always. Id say my ski has to be about 305-310 dry (guesstimation) with the TDR, Wet Pipe, Trinity Hood, CF Ride Plate, Battery, Metal Diet, UMI, Flame Arrestors etc..I havent cut out the glue yet.. The ski is way lighter and all nimbly bimbly feeling.. I should find a scale.. one of the better mods I have done is i tapped out a hole closer on my exit nozzle for my steering end and moved my HP end all the way out.. minimum action up top for maximum reaction round the bottom.. turns nice with that D cut plate. I ran my foot wells 1" back ( on purpose not so much ) but it keeps the biggest loaf on the ski further back as well.. This all seems to work for me . Now to dial in those setup wakes and get past a 1/2 BR.. Does Blowsion sell Brass Balls?
