After flushing I hit the stop button and the motor stopped running but kept cranking away, I finally had to disconnect the battery to get it stopped. WTF?? Switch or solinoid?

I would guess the switch. Check the contacts on the start/stop connection and see if somehow the red/brown are touching. Disconnect the start/stop completely (two connectors. One black/white [CAUTION: engine will not shut down unless you do by adjusting down the low idle] and one red/brown), try jumping the red/brown and see if it still does it. If it does, its not the start/stop

most likely the solenoid in the elec box is causing this. Open the box and look at the solenoid terminals. If there is moisture inside the box, you may have corrosion between these terminals. Even if it's clean I would still suspect the starter solenoid sticking. A definitive test would be to disconnect the plug at the box which has the red and brown wire while the starter is running. If the starter now stops you'll know the problem is not with the solenoid but at the switch (can be dissassembled and cleaned out if the little booty is not torn)

I have been through the switch last season and packed it with dilectric grease as well. I suspect the solonoid and may pull the connector off to verify its not the switch.

I went through one of my switches 4 times with di-electric (in one season) and it still failed, and Im not even saltwater. The springs and stuff wear out.

Solenoid stuck I have seen it on Doos many times before, the newer brown solenoids don't do this, they werx good.

Cranking with a low battery can cause the solenoid to arc and weld itself closed. Do like others said above and disconnect the start switch and see if it starts to crank when you connect the battery. If so replace the solenoid and make sure the E box is dry.

charge the battery...

I had that happen last year on the lake.

I had sunk it, and used alot of the battery to pumping the water out I guess, so by the time I got it dry the voltage was low, and the solenoid stuck.

I didnt have a wrench, but a brick sized rock with pissed of force into the E box UN-stuck the soleniod.

its never happened again.
