49 pounds is pretty crazy, last year the XFT flatwater was 57 pounds (claimed).

Someone once claimed the Compositech hull was 51 pounds with hood.

My prepreg Waterdawg hull/hood should be right around 60lbs (of course it's not done yet so I can't say for sure).

You think? In other words guessing. So you're saying he's only 20-30 hp more than Parr, on a ski that only weighs 30 lbs or so less? Try again. There is a substantial difference between Malone's ski and that.

I did not see Parr's boat yanking him in the Wf video's...........Malone had about 160 hp on his Polaris when he first did the flatwater back flip and you saw how that thing was yanking

Yeah, I edited it. I think he maybe in the 180-190 range, but if he sets it up for competition he may hit the 200 mark

In other words, dropping 50 lbs is like adding 35 hp to my ski. On my setup, that would cost some $$$, and going the light hull route gives the added benefit of faster rotation.

I would be surprised if Malone is breaking 200hp. Let's assume he is running snowmobile cylinders... the most extreme twin cylinder snowmobiles are just breaking 200hp and they have twin pipes. You're going to lose a signigicant amout of power going to a single pipe, for sure.

So if I were to lose 25 pounds that would be like adding 17 hp to my ski?
Its like putting on a FP with no re-tuning needed!

EME custome PV cylinders. Based very closely off Sled Cylinders, but the sled ports were too far off for RPM range on skis, so the port timing was lowered with custom sleves. Over 200+ hp. (You all have to realise, this ski has taken 3-4 years to develope with the Best in the business working on it- along with the best outside the business as well.)

I never said a sled engine would be better in a jetski than whatever Malone is running. You guys are supporting my theory of less than 200hp because to make better power delivery (lower ports for more low end, right) you will have to sacrifice top end. Top end is where the peak hp number comes from. A complete aftermarket (yes, I said complete aftermarket, they've existed for a long time) Polaris sled engine makes it's peak hp at over 8,000 RPM. I think the most I've heard of for a 1000cc sled engine is 210-215hp, with dual pipes. There's no realistic way to expect Malone's engine to make the same power on copied cylinders with a single pipe and lower port timing.

Is Malone running OEM cases? That's another strike against it for peak power.

I don't think it matters, it's pretty obvious Malone has more power than anyone else, but I wouldn't buy one of his skis based on a 200hp claim from a salesman. With all the development of that engine, he should have dyno sheets in his back pocket.

Malone told me like a month before WF that he had not dyno'ed the motor so he did not know how much power it was making. W/o a doubt it has some serious balls and is way to much for me
